Web design class over view
This was a very exciting and challenging subject for me. I have learnt website design in college and at cit however i didnt learn enough to be comfotable in making my own. Blog theme video tut was really helpful too. I made the dicision to edit an existing blog theme then starting from scratch. I have been looking around for themes on the tumblr site and others for a reasnable one to customize.
Customizing my blog!
Here is my custom blog. i have changed a few different features and i am fairly happy with it. Some other blogs i tried to change didn’t work well and the code seemed fairly complicted. But i finally found a theme from tumblr and it worked out nicely.

Having to make do.
Some of the imagery i put into my design i had to take out just to make my life abit easier. One of these is the clouds overlay onto the background gradient. I really reckon it looks so much better however i wasn’t sure how to put it in and i didnt want to put a background image in. Another is the lense flare behind the O in the logo.

My website is probably about 65% done. I have had many troubles along the way such as images on different layers, linking, borders, text, positioning and backgrounds. Once i had started creating the styles for the website i had many troubles however many i have learnt from testing different options how to fix them.

This weeks lecture was how to make up a html website using css. I wasn’t able to watch the entire video in the beginning becuase for some reason the video wouldnt load properly. Week 4 Lecture
In the week 4 lecture I have learnt that working with code provides better results in stability, flexibility, efficiency, accessibility, adaptability, longevity and a better design.
This lecture has given me a much more understanding on why we use code in websites and will help me when I’m making web pages in the future.
